Nashville Youth Sports Club (d.b.a. – Stars Basketball Club) is blessed to be the largest basketball club in Nashville, operating hubs in both Williamson County & North Nashville (Sumner County). We provide year-round basketball opportunities for 1st-12th grade athletes, boys & girls, through team play, developmental programming, camps, clinics, & 3-on-3 tournaments. Our mission is “Planting Seeds for Christ Through Basketball.”

Expanding Our Reach: Launched in 2014 as Upward Stars-Nashville, the club has experienced exponential growth on an annual basis. In 2019, the club transitioned to STARS Basketball Club and adopted a new logo and new colors. There was no change in leadership, coaches, or culture. During 2019, the club expanded to 55 spring/summer teams, and continued to operate hubs in both Williamson County and Sumner County. In 2023, STARS Basketball formed 75+ club, summer, fall, and winter teams and will touch 5,000 athletes through tryouts, teams, developmental programming, camps, clinics, STARS Shooting Lab, & tournaments.

Focus on a “MORE THAN” Experience: The club attributes the aforementioned growth to placing a high priority on providing a “MORE THAN” experience. This impact is seen both ON and OFF the court. STARS has the desire to impact athletes: Mentally, Athletically, Spiritually, and Socially. These four pillars of impact are derived from Luke 2:52 – And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

Coaches & Character Lessons: One way in which the “off the court” impact is accomplished is through spoken character lessons. Our coaching staff has shared approximately 1,000 character lessons with its participants over the past three years at team practices, camps, & clinics. These lessons are based on Scripture and correlate with sports and every-day life. Character lesson topics, just to list a few, have included: Teamwork, Wisdom, Leadership, Perseverance, Effort, Discipline, Integrity, Courage, Commitment, and Service.

Putting a Quality Product on the Court:  From a sports’ credibility perspective, the club’s 2019-2022 club teams competed at a high level, having won 100+ Championships and 120+ runner-up finishes in national/regional/& local tournaments. In 2023, STARS Teams earned these accolades:

• 2027 UA Future Boys (Coach Spencer Turner) – NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
• 2025 UA Rise Boys (Coach Aaron Morrison) – NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
• 2026 UA Rise Girls (Coach Tony McLeod/Malik Mims) – NATIONAL RUNNER-UP
